It’s with sadness that the Birmingham Swifts Committee announces that Josh Webb shall be stepping down from his role as Social & Welfare Secretary with immediate effect.
Josh has worked hard to plan and provide great social events after our races since being co-opted into the role following our AGM in March, as well as the brilliant Tobogganing at Tamworth earlier in the year.
The committee are very grateful to Josh for his help and support over the past 4 months and we’re sure you’ll join us in saying a great big “thank-you” to Josh for giving up his time for us all.
We shall be calling for willing volunteers to step into Josh’s shoes over the next few weeks so please have a think about whether you’d be interested in help running your club, plan Social events and provide Welfare support to your fellow members. Keep your eyes peeled for information of how to nominate!
In the meantime the role shall be picked up by the other members of the committee as follows:
For Post-race Socials: see Pete “TP” Davies
For Welfare issues: see Connor Kingsley (with support from Chris Pratt).
The process to find Josh’s replacement shall be run by Christine Strathie and Geoffrey Frost.
Keep your eyes peeled for exciting news about a sequel to the “Big Hoot Challenge” from 2015 involving a Bear Hunt! Chris will have more details about this soon.
Swifts Ahoy!
Chris, Christine, Connor, Geoffrey, Josh and TP
The Committee.
