Birmingham Swifts / New Balance Party!

Our Thursday night run on 30 March 2023 is going to be very different! New Balance are throwing us a PARTY to celebrate Swifts being one of only 5 running groups across the UK that New Balance have chosen to represent them at this year’s London Marathon. Once you’ve read the last sentence at the bottom you may want to book the following day off work!

An Eventbrite link will be available shortly – please due to numbers we need to limit this to around 60-70 people so can only let current runners (run with us more than twice in the last 6 months) or former volunteers (Committee members and Run Leaders) to attend, but othewise all current runners are welcome! It will also be free! Approx details and timings as follows, subject to change:

Top line running order:

6-6.30pm meet at the pub to change into dual branded Swifts/New Balance t-shirts for the run

7pm leave for the run (filming and photography as you run)

8pm return to the pub for food & drinks

8.30pm drag show in the garden

9.15pm back inside for drag DJ/karaoke

11/12pm Event ends

Entertainment: Andy is going to organise for two drag queens to put on a show and then host drag karaoke. During the show, there will be spot prizes and running will be a theme of the show (weaved in authentically)

Food: a hog roast and vegan/veggie option

Drinks: we’ll do a Swifts selection of drinks

Additional: Photographer and videographer to capture the run and the night in general

All food and drink will be paid for on the night by New Balance, so the club can enjoy the event to the full!
