Mental Health Awareness Run and Talk – Thursday 11 October 2018 from Birmingham LGBT Centre at 7:00 pm

Our regular social run on Thursday 11 October 2018 is being used to help to help promote mental health awareness and to support our members to discuss mental health issues. We are encouraging all members to join us and see the positive effects that running can have for people’s mental well-being.

Our runs are led by trained leaders and this run will be led by the club’s Mental Health Champion Maddie. All our social runs use a “looping” system where the quicker runners run back at certain points along the route, ensuring that nobody gets left behind regardless of their ability.

Our Social runs are always followed by a gathering at the Fox, 17 Lower Street, Birmingham, B5 6SN, where free food is kindly provided by our host Andy King. A good selection of drinks is available for purchase and runners will be available to talk about the Swifts’ activities and the regular run and talk sessions held at Cannon Hill Park.

Why not join us at Birmingham LGBT Centre from 6.30 pm onwards at the Birmingham LGBT Centre, 38-40 Holloway Circus, B1 1EQ? Changing and storage facilities are available.
